Persephones Underworld Pomegranate Garden is a fantastical artwork of a stylized pomegranate tree full of fruit. Artwork inspired by Greek mythology and the story of Hades, God of the underworld, taking Persephone from a world where it was always summer.A homesick Persephone ate six pomegranate seeds before returning home: her fate being that for six months of each year, she must return to the underworld with Hades, on Mabon, and winter would come to the world. In spring she would once again return to her mother, allowing the earth to bloom.ABOUT THE ART © 15 September 2023, 11:03:45 Tracey Harrington-Simpson (taiche)
